7 Myths about hair care; hair care glossary

Hello! How are you today? I just finished my exams for the week and I am spending some time on my lovely Mac Book blogging! The weather is rainy today and bloomy ... :(
So it's time to post the second part of my hair glossary series! I have some very "dangerous" myths about hair!

1. Myth : Trimming your hair frequently helps grow them faster and denser

Whether you trim your hair or not, they grow half an inch every 4 weeks. Trimming split hair ends improves the look of your hair.

2. Myth: Stress is the main cause of hair loss
we daily lose about 100 hairs daily even in the absence of stress. However, you may lose more than this, if you are much stressed.

3. Myth: Plucking out grey hair will grow more grey hair
Plucking grey hair may damage hair follicles and lead to infection on the scalp. But there is no connection between plucking and greying hair.

4. Myth: Split ends can be repaired without trimming
The only successful treatment for removing split ends is with a scissors.  While some hair care products may temporarily merge split ends together, this fix only lasts until your next shampoo.Keep in mind damaged ends tends to grow slower than healthy hair.

5. Myth : Shaving A Baby’s hair Will change Their Natural Hair Texture

The hair that a baby is born with may or may not be the hair that they grow up with.  Shaving a baby’s head will not alter the texture of their ultimate hair nor will it cause their hair to grow faster or thicker. It's ridiculous! The parents of a friend of mine did that hoping their daughter will have curly hair!

6. Myth : Colouring Hair During Pregnancy Is Harmful
Although some physicians disagree, others claim that coloring the hair during pregnancy will not be dangerous to the baby. But always get your physician’s permission to color your hair during pregnancy.  Most experts believe that the main danger with hair coloring is not the application to the scalp itself but the inhalation of the strong chemical.

7. Myth : Hair get used to , when using a specific shampoo all the time.
Many people swear that their hair will become immune to the benefits of the same shampoo used over time. There is no scientific evidence to prove this myth.
